FireWall-1™
SecuRemote™. Secure remote network access for dial-up Internet connections through transparent client encryption technology. Virtual
Private Networking. |
Today a corporation's enterprise-wide
network must accommodate a growing number of remote
locations, mobile workers and telecommuters. Providing
branch offices, business partners and mobile/remote users
with secure access to the network and its resources has
become a number one priority. Check Point FireWall-1
meets this requirement with strong authentication and
encryption services. For added ease-of-use, these
services are fully integrated into the enterprise-wide
security policy, can be modified via the object-oriented
graphical user interface, and monitored via the Log
Viewer. Authentication FireWall-1's user authentication feature authenticates users of Telnet, FTP and HTTP via an extended log-in procedure. FireWall-1 also provides support for a unique feature called Client Authentication. Client Authentication provides a mechanism for authenticating users of any application (standard or custom) whether it is TCP, UDP, or RPC based. With Client Authentication, the authorization is per machine, because the supported services do not have an initial login procedure. With either user or client authentication, no modification to local servers or client applications is required and there is no loss in performance. Both user and client authentication utilize standard passwords as well as secure one-time password mechanisms including standard smart cards or soft key solutions, such as SecurID™ and S/Key™. SecuRemote™ Client Encryption FireWall-1 SecuRemote client encryption software protects the privacy of user-to-firewall connections. SecuRemote encrypts data before it leaves the Windows 95 client, offering a secure solution that is completely transparent to the end user. It is an ideal solution for mobile and remote users connecting to enterprise networks via dial-up Internet connections. The product supports dynamic IP addressing which is critical for dial-up communication. SecuRemote is also beneficial for LAN-attached PCs requiring data privacy when connecting to network resources secured by an internal firewall. |
